Latest releases

Well it has been a busy couple of weeks.  I have been busy writing and having patterns tested.   So, we have a free pattern available here.  This is a little more advance than a beginner, but if you watch the videos at you tube, or view the Daisy Cluster photo explanation on this blog, it should help you complete this simple pattern.

Cowl made here with Yarn Bee Finale (more photos coming soon!!!)

Also being released today is the Yarn Yumminess Capelet.   It is named this because this pattern is designed to show off the yarn.  It works best with variegated yarns, and / or yarns with amazing texture.  It is a very simple pattern, and offers many weights of yarn, and many hook sizes.

Photo and testing provided by Yarn and String

Finally, we will be releasing VERY soon another capelet pattern and a wreath pattern!   So stay tuned!

Daisy Cluster Stitch

There have been folks who have said they do better understanding new stitches with a photo rather than a video, so here is the photo explanation of the Daisy Cluster Stitch

 start
insert hook into ch1 just completed.

y/o pull up a loop
insert hook into base of stitch just completed.
yarn over
pull up a loop
skip stitch, insert hook into next stitch,
yarn over and pull up a loop
yarn over
pull loop through all 4 loops
yarn over
pull up a loop   (stitch completed)

Working from a hdc start

 start
insert hook into top of hdc just completed,
 yarn over
 pull up a loop
insert hook into base of hdc
yarn over
pull up a loop
skip stitch, insert hook into next stitch
yarn over
pull up a loop
yarn over
pull through all four loops
 yarn over
pull up a loop  (stitch complete)
this shows DCL ending, 2 hdc, and DCL starting all in the same stitch
This is a way to increase using this stitch!
